Riders from more than 40 countries and territories will compete to be crowned global winners of the largest event in the industry today

IRVING, Texas, Dec. 9, 2024 - Caterpillar Incorporated (NYSE: CAT) launched the third annual Global Rider Challenge, inviting thousands of riders from around the world to compete for operational agility, toughness and technical versatility using a wide range of engineering equipment and technologies. The more than 140 Cat® dealer competitions held during the 2022-2023 season attracted more than 10,000 competitors from 32 countries and territories. More events are planned for the 2025-2026 season than in previous seasons and will attract more competitors from more countries and regions. Invitation to global pilots

Between January and September 2025, competing pilots will take part in the first round of local auditions organized by Cat agents worldwide. The auditions will require competitors to complete at least three different challenges on no fewer than three different machines. Scoring will be based on skill, safety, efficiency and the ability to skillfully use integrated technologies that enhance equipment performance (e.g., Cat Payload weighing system, Cat Grade grade control, EOU SmartTech features). in the fall of 2025, the winners of the local dealer auditions will advance to the regional semifinals. in March 2026, nine regional semifinalists will participate in the Caterpillar Caterpillar Caterpillar Craftsman Championship. In March 2026, nine regional semifinalists will compete in Caterpillar's Grand Finals, held in the "Driver's Showcase," an outdoor area at CONEXPO in Las Vegas. The winner of the finals will receive a $10,000 cash prize or a trip for two to any Caterpillar operation worldwide for the same value.
